obert Edward Smith composes tonal, melodic music that communicates to the lover
of art music, yet is complex enough to bear repeated hearings.
The Composer in Residence at Trinity College Chapel in Hartford, Connecticut, since 1979, Mr. Smith also teaches harpsichord and continuo realization at the Hartt School, University of Hartford.
Mr. Smith welcomes commissions from individuals celebrating a personal milestone, as well as from orchestral or chamber music groups seeking to expand their repertoire.
